A lovely statue of the Blessed Mother stands to the side in the sanctuary. The wall behind her is painted blue and speaks to life and our patroness who brought the Lord of Life into our midst. The twelve gold stars painted in an arch around Mary calls to mind the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve apostles. Often the statue of the Blessed Mother is flanked by roses and other ornamental flowers brought by the faithful as an offering of love to the Mother of our Lord.
